The year is 2026 and Odell Beckham Jr. is a member of the New York Giants. Time is apparently a flat circle.
Beckham surprised the NFL world by making the 53-man roster after missing the entire 2025 season. He has not been an effective NFL receiver since he suffered a torn ACL in Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams. The Giants are hoping to recapture some of that original OBJ magic that was seen from 2014-2018.
Beckham is bringing back one aspect of his early Giants days to hopefully get back to his old ways.
Odell Beckham Jr. Given Throwback Honor by Giants
Beckham is a Giants legend who made a name for himself as “OBJ” wearing the No. 13 jersey. The team posted a tweet revealing he will be going back to his old number.

Beckham last wore No. 13 with the Cleveland Browns before switching to No. 3 when he joined the Rams. He is now back with the team that drafted him and anyone who bought his jersey over a decade ago can go in the closet and dust it off to wear this season.
This seems to be a low-risk, high-reward move by the Giants. Beckham is playing on a minimum deal worth just over $1 million and his presence will have fans excited. He is also a veteran voice in the locker room as new head coach John Harbaugh seeks to change the culture with the Giants.
Beckham will play alongside Malik Nabers, the former No. 6 overall pick who is returning after his own ACL injury last season. An effective duo of Beckham and Nabers would be the perfect blend of Giants past and present. The key for both will be to stay healthy while playing on the turf at MetLife Stadium.
